Somali Bantu Community Association of Vermont


The Somali Bantu Community Association is always looking for in-kind donations to support our community. Below is a short list of some of our needs. Please feel free to contact us at or at 802-658-2683 for more information about specific needs and to arrange a drop-off time. Please also note if a receipt is needed upon drop-off.

home goods (blankets, pots and pans, utensils, appliances, etc.)
clothing (for both children and adults including business appropriate attire)
children’s toys and books
educational materials (books and writing materials for children - high school students)
teaching materials
used computers in good condition
land for planting (seasonal)
gardening tools and seed or started plants (tomatoes, green peppers, beans, onions, potatoes, lettuce, carrots, kale, cabbage, okra, watermelon, pumpkin, corn)
sewing/knitting materials and sewing machines to support our Women’s Knitting Project working to preserve and celebrate traditional women’s arts

The Association and its programming are supported by small grants and personal donations. Any donation, no matter how small, will greatly aid us in accomplishing our mission. We appreciate your support. Thank you.
